11 Spring Art Craft For Kids

Spring is in full bloom! The flowers are blooming, the trees are budding, and everything around us is green.

Here are some fun ways for your kids to get creative with art that reflects their love of spring.

How To Make An Egg Carton Flower Bouquet

Cut a paper towel roll in half and use one half for each stem. You can also use regular cardboard, or even wooden dowels or sticks if you have them on hand.

Glue the egg cartons together using a glue gun (or hot glue gun) so that they form a circle around your stems, with the ends facing upwards and outwards.

Paint all of the egg cartons with paint in different colors of your choice—try making some stripes or polka dots! Let dry completely before moving on to step four (about 30 minutes).

Glue flowers on top of each egg container so that they stick outwards away from it like petals; this will take up most of your time but is well worth it because now you have a beautiful bouquet for display or gifting!

Watercolor Resist Flower Art

In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to create a watercolor resist flower art.

Cut out flowers from the magazine pages or other images of your choice. Use cardstock paper and use this as the base for your paper flowers.

Paint around each flower petal with a brush dipped in watercolors and let dry for about 5 minutes until you see that your petals are slightly darker than the rest of the paper (this will help you know when they are ready).

Next, paint over all of them with more watercolors but without brushing around any edges or leaves yet – just paint right onto them! Let dry completely before proceeding with steps 4-6 below so as not to get smears/smudges on any delicate areas when working with wet paints again later on down towards final touches etcetera…

How to Make a Flower Pot Out of a Craft Stick

Materials.

  • Colored craft sticks (about 20) of varying sizes and colors
  • A few paint brushes (1 or 2 fine-tipped, 1 or 2 wide-tipped)
  • Glue gun and glue sticks/bottle caps

Instructions.

Make Your Flower

To make your flower pot shape, glue 10 craft sticks together to make a square. Then glue 4 more craft sticks on top of them in a diamond pattern to form the bottom of your pot. (This will be the part that sits on the table.) Set aside while you work on making the lid of your pot.

Craft Sticks

To create the lid for your flower pot, use 6 fatter colored craft sticks and 3 thinner ones for this project so that it has enough depth for all those beautiful blooms! Glue these pieces together vertically into a rectangle shape with two holes cut out from either end where you’ll add handles later in step 5 below!

Next use two large paintbrushes dipped into one color at a time–orange then yellow–to dab onto one side edge only! The edges should look like striped stripes with orange going over yellow then repeating until all four sides are done 🙂

How To Draw A Watercolor Rainbow and Trace With Oil Pastels

  • To start, you will need watercolor paints, black oil pastels, and a coloring book.
  • Mix the paint colors in a bowl with water to make your rainbow colors.
  • Use oil pastels to trace over the lines of your drawing to create a rainbow effect with color!

Easy Sunflower Craft For Kids

This is a fun spring craft for kids.

It’s also a great way to use up old coffee filters, paint brushes, paints, and cups! This art project can be used as part of a larger lesson on flowers or springtime.

Materials. Old coffee filters; Paintbrushes; Paints (different colors); Paper cup

Easy Painted Paper Flowers For Kids to Make

Materials for this flower craft for kids include.

  • a flower template (see below)
  • paint in colors of your choice (or you can use colored pencils to add details)

glue stick, or something similar to attach the paper petals on a paper plate. Simply draw lines on the edge of each petal then use your fingers to bend them into shape as you apply glue.

You could also use tape if you want something more sturdy than glue. If using tape, be sure not to put too much weight on it because it may tear!

  • markers for writing messages or names on the plate

Kool-Aid Flower Paper Craft

What you need.

  • Paper, tissue paper, and Kool-Aid (red, orange, and blue)
  • Paintbrush (optional)
  • Scissors or craft knife (optional)
  • Glue (optional) –

I think glue isn’t a necessity for this activity because it’s difficult to keep the Kool-Aid from seeping through the paper. However, if you do want to use glue, make sure it’s non-toxic!

Paper Clip Or Clothes Pin

A paper clip works best because it will hold the papers together more securely than a clothespin. You can also use an aluminum binder clip instead of a paper clip if you have one handy!

If you don’t have either of these items on hand, don’t worry—you can still do this project! Just skip ahead to step 2 below for instructions on how to attach two pieces of card stock without using any supplies at all.

but please remember that this method may not work as well if your child is very young or very strong!

Painted Coffee Filter Butterfly Craft

Materials.

  • 1 coffee filter
  • 3 sheets of construction paper (in different colors)
  • glue stick
  • crayons or markers

Instructions.

Cut the coffee filter into a butterfly shape with scissors. You can use one shape or make it look like a real butterfly by cutting four wings and two antennae, which is what we did in this craft.

If you want to do this option, cut out three wings and one antenna from one color of construction paper, then cut out another wing from a different color paper for each wing set you

Rainbow String Art For Kids

Materials.

  • paper
  • scissors
  • a pen or pencil
  • glue (optional)

Directions.

Print out the template on regular computer paper and cut it out. You may need to make copies of the template to accommodate how many strings of different sizes you want to use.

If you’d like, cut apart each section into several pieces so that kids can build them separately on their own time and space instead of all at once in one big pile.

Or if you’re ambitious, get two sets of templates and let kids work simultaneously with two projects! But be careful—this can quickly become overwhelming for little ones who are just learning about the concept of sharing!

Gluing Or Taping

Have your child start by gluing or taping one end of his string onto the bottom corner indicated by an arrow on his template piece (called “A” in our picture).

You’ll notice that it does not matter which direction he chooses for this first step; he can either stick down one side of his line or reverse it so that it curls up over itself before coming back down again—it won’t affect how well his project turns out later!

As long as he keeps going from left to right and top-to-bottom without skipping any steps along the way, he’ll be fine!

Spring Art

Spring is the season of rebirth, renewal, and growth. It is a time of new life and growth.

Spring is a time of new beginnings and fresh starts.

Spring has many different meanings to different people but most everyone can agree that spring is a wonderful time of the year full of promise for new beginnings and possibilities.

Conclusion

We have a lot of fun art projects for you to try this spring! I hope these ideas have inspired you and your kids to pick up some paintbrushes, markers, glue sticks, and other supplies and go make some beautiful art together. It’s always a good idea to start with the basic shapes first before getting too fancy with colors or patterns. That way everyone will be able to make their flowers or butterflies without any help from Mom or Dad!
