There are so many fun outdoor games for toddlers! Just a few minutes of fresh air can make a big difference in your toddler’s energy and mood. Check out these outdoor games and activities that are perfect for toddlers!

If you want them to spend more time outside, try these awesome games for toddlers.

Watermelon Bowling

Watermelon bowling is a fun outdoor game for toddlers of all ages. For this game, you’ll need a watermelon. The bigger the better!

To play, simply set up your watermelon in the middle of an open area (dirt or grass works best). Have each player stand at least 30 feet away from the watermelon. Then have them take turns rolling their balls toward the melon and try to knock it over with as few tries as possible!

This game can be played in teams or individually—you could even have an adult play with each child on his own team if they’re not quite ready to hit that far yet! To make things more challenging,

try using different-shaped balls instead of dice (or don’t use dice at all), such as spheres made out of rubber bands instead of plastic ones so there’s more resistance when moving through space—your toddler will love learning how much harder something becomes when its shape changes!

Duck Duck Splash

Duck Splash is a game of tag where you have to chase the duck instead of your opponent.

To play, you need an outdoor swimming pool (or a kiddie pool if you don’t have access to an outdoor pool) and one rubber ducky per person playing. If you don’t have either,

there are plenty of places online where you can buy these items—although I recommend making sure they’re free of toxins before purchasing them for use with toddlers or kids who put things into their mouths!

The setup is pretty straightforward: Set up your kiddie pool in a safe location outside (away from any trees or power lines), fill it about two-thirds full with water, then give yourself some space so that when someone catches the duck it doesn’t hit anything on its way back toward home base.

Once everyone knows how many ducks each player has and what order they’ll be choosing them in (you can let players pick their preferred number first or last), assign each player his or her appropriate color/number combination and tell them which way around they’ll be placing their own colored-coded duck on top of theirs when turning over one card at a time during gameplay so that everyone knows exactly who has which colored duck at all times during gameplay!

Outdoor Ring Toss

Materials: You’ll need a large, open space that’s clear of debris. Pick up any sticks, rocks and other sharp objects beforehand. Next, gather up some small, soft balls like tennis balls or plastic golf balls. Finally—and most importantly—round up a group of willing participants!

How to set up the game: In the middle of your chosen playing area, place one large basket (such as a soccer goal) with its opening facing away from the players. Place another smaller basket roughly 20 feet away on one side of it (we recommend using two smaller baskets if there are more than three people playing). Make sure both baskets are at least 2 feet off the ground for easy retrieval by toddlers!

How to play: Give each player five balls total; if you’re playing with younger kids who might get distracted easily or cry when they lose their turn, give them fewer balls instead so they can focus on having fun rather than winning every time! Starting in front of one basket (or from wherever else makes sense),

Each person takes turns throwing their ball into either basket until someone scores three points by successfully hitting both targets within a single round (i.e., if you miss even once during those attempts it counts against your total score). Play continues until someone reaches 21 points first; then everyone has one last chance left so they can try harder than ever before calling “last try!”

Color Block Set

This game is a fun way for your child to practice their fine motor skills and color recognition. It’s also a great choice for parents who are looking for a game that’s easy to set up and can be played inside or out.

To play, you’ll need:

  • 4 colored blocks (red, yellow, blue, and green)
  • A dice or spinner that can be used to select colors randomly from 1 through 4 (you could use any item having those same four colors on it)

Kiddie Pool Ice Fishing

This ice-fishing game is a great way to get your toddler outside. Set up an ice-fishing station in a kiddie pool with a few small plastic buckets.

Then, tie some string to one of the buckets and use it as an anchor at the bottom of the pool. Make sure it’s securely attached so that there are no accidents! Then, fill up each bucket with water and add some colored ping pong balls or marbles into each one so they don’t sink when you put them in.

Lastly, give your child fishing rods and baited hooks—you can even make these out of sticks if you want to save money! After setting up this activity for your child, let them fish for as long as they want until all their bells are rung (or until mom tells them it’s time to go inside).

When you’re done playing and ready for clean-up time, simply dump out all the excess liquid from each bucket and wash down everything else (including yourself)!

Golf Ball Race

Golf ball race is a game that’s fun for all ages! It can be played with any number of kids and requires only a few things: a golf course, or just some grass, and golf balls. You’ll want to start your mini-golf course with one tee box on each side of the “course” (i.e., wherever you are playing).

Then place five to ten holes along the way from the tees—you can make them as long or short as you’d like depending on how much time you have and how young/old your group is.

Once all those holes are set up, let everyone grab their own ball from home if they don’t already have one handy at each tee box (the more colorful they are, the better).

Add distance markers between each hole so kids know how far they must hit their next shot before moving on to the next hole in order to win this challenging game! Once everyone has picked up their clubs and gotten situated at their respective tees, it’s time for mommy hoops’ favorite sport: golf ball racing!

Giant Bubbles

Bubbles are great for teaching children about science, and they’re a lot of fun, too! You can make giant bubbles with just a few supplies that you probably already have around the house. All you need is.

  • A bottle of dish soap (any kind will work)
  • A bucket or sink full of warm water
  • Some bubble wands and/or bubble blowers (bubble wands are typically cheaper than blowers)

Seventy percent of kids ages four to six play video games, with an average playing time of 13 minutes a day. If you want them to spend more time outside, try these awesome games for toddlers.

Children are spending too much time indoors. These days, many kids spend hours on video games and other tech gadgets.

Because of this, it’s important to encourage your child to get outside and enjoy the fresh air.

How can you make sure that your child spends more time in nature?

The answer is simple: play with them! There are plenty of outdoor games that will help develop their motor skills while also encouraging them to explore and discover new things in the great outdoors—and they can all be played by toddlers! You’ll never have an excuse not to get out there once you know about these seven awesome activities.
