Quilling Paper Flower
To make a paper flower, you will need.
- Quilling paper strips (you can use any color)
- A quilling tool (this is a special tool that helps you roll and shape the paper strip into different shapes)
- Scissors
Cut strips of quilling paper into 1-inch pieces. Make sure to cut them into different lengths so that they come out in various sizes when you shape them later.
You can use any kind of quilling paper but I used some brown and green stripes for this project because I thought they would look nice on my finished product!
The blue ones looked good too but since we had those already from another project I decided not to use them this time around!
Quilling Art Birdhouse
Materials
- Quilling paper strips in different colors
- A glue gun or a strong adhesive
- A paper punch to make circles, squares, or any shape you like (optional)
Directions
Cut the quilling strip into small pieces and roll them with your fingers. You can also roll them using a tool known as a roller but it is not necessary. The smaller the curls are, the better they will be for creating details of your project.
Glue each curl onto your birdhouse base until its fully covered with curls and add more glue if required to secure its place firmly on the surface of the house structure. If you don’t have any curling tool at hand then simply use scissors to cut thin sheets of paper off from larger sheets so that each one becomes different from another one in terms of size and shape!

Quilling Poppy Card
If you are looking for an easy project to do with the kids, who will love the results of this quilling poppy card.
It’s also a great project for beginners, as you can use templates provided on the internet.
You can find several variations of this flower online, but we’ll show you how to make one using the template below:
Cut out the template and tape it on top of your quilling paper (you may need a few sheets depending on size). You will cut along all lines except for one or two small holes where petals are located.
There should be some space between petals so they won’t stick together. Be careful while doing so as sharp scissors could damage paper fibers making them difficult to roll afterward!
If desired – you can use glue around the outer edge of each petal where they overlap one another – just make sure it doesn’t dry before rolling otherwise it might damage your design!
