7 Fun Family Game Activities

The holidays are upon us, which means it’s time to put your phone down and get back into the real world!

If you’re looking for fun activities for your family to do together, look no further. I’ve got a great list of games that will keep everyone entertained and help create some treasured memories. So gather around the table—it’s game time!

Pie Face Game

Pie Face is a hilarious game for the whole family. The players have to get as close to the target without getting splatted with whipped cream, and it’s super fun!

This game is best played in teams of 2 or 3 people. One person is designated as the “pie thrower” and sits on one side of the table while another stands behind them holding up a large cardboard cutout face.

Players then take turns trying to get as close to the target without getting “splatted” by whipped cream from an unseen source located just above their head! It can be quite tricky because you never know when someone will flick their wrist and get you right in your face!

Bounce-Off Game

Divide the group into two teams with equal numbers of players. Let one person from each team serve as captain and nominate themselves to do so.

If you don’t want to choose a captain, let each player write down on a piece of paper who they think should be captain and put them in a hat or bowl. Then draw out one name at random for each team: That person will be the team’s captain for this game!

The captains decide which category they’d like to use for their word selections—it could be anything from animals to countries to TV shows (and more). Once you’ve chosen your category, give each member of your squad five minutes (or whatever time limit works best) to jot down words that fit into this category on their pieces of paper.

no conferring allowed! You can also have everyone randomly choose one word out of a hat if you don’t want it getting too competitive (but we recommend playing by rules so everyone knows what they’re competing against). When everyone has written down their ideas, call back together and compare lists; whichever team has more words on theirs wins!

Scattergories Game

Scattergories is a fun game that can be played with the whole family. The objective of Scattergories is to come up with words that fit the given category, and then write them down on your card.

Categories such as food and animals are common in this game, but there are also more unique categories like famous saints or body parts. After each round, you tally up your points based on how many other players wrote down your answer for each category (if anyone else did). Points are awarded for each correct answer, so you want to make sure that everyone gets involved!

You can play Scattergories at home with just two people, but it’s more challenging if more people are playing—and there’s nothing wrong with making things more challenging! This makes it a good choice for parties too because everyone will have fun trying to come up with creative answers while laughing along the way.

Risk Game

Risk is a board game that involves strategy and takes place in the context of a war. You can play it with 2-4 players, but the best way to play is with 3 players (you might want two or four, depending on how many people are available).

The goal is to conquer your opponents’ territories by strategically capturing them. To start, each player gets 10 armies (in later versions there are additional ways to gain armies). Each player places their armies in any territory they choose (they can’t attack an opponent until someone has at least one army on every continent). The first person who conquers all the other players’ territories wins!

If you lose all your troops, then you’re out of the game—but don’t worry: no one dies here! Instead of losing everything when that happens, people just get more troops back so they have another chance at winning.

If you win all of your opponents’ territories by capturing them with your troops before anyone else does then congratulations—you’ve won! This means everyone else will have lost because they couldn’t keep up with how fast these guys were going after each other’s stuff…

Apples To Apples Party Box Card Game

Apples to Apples Party Box Card Game is a fun, easy game for the whole family. It’s great for people of all ages and it can be enjoyed by both adults and children.

This party box comes with 500 cards (250 red apple cards and 250 green smiley face cards) that you can use to play the game in several different ways depending on how many players you have. You will also get instructions on how to play this classic card game as well as 4 dice and 4 playing pieces so that everyone has something to use while playing.

In addition to being good for parties or road trips, this game also makes a great gift idea because it is simple enough that anyone would enjoy playing while still being challenging enough so they won’t get bored after one round!

Jenga XXL Block Game

We’ve all played the classic Jenga game, but this version is different. It’s called XXL Block Game and it features bigger blocks than the original Jenga game.

To win, you have to pull out one block at a time without knocking over any of them. It’s more fun than regular Jenga because there are so many more places for your fingers to go!

There are also some rules you should know before starting:

  • You can only use one hand for each turn (no cheating!).
  • When you remove a piece from the tower, place it on top until you’re ready to play it again or put it back in your pile of pieces that aren’t being used right now. You’ll need these later!
  • If anyone knocks over any blocks while playing with him or herself (not very nice), they lose automatically with no chance at redemption!

UNO Card Game

UNO is a card game that involves matching colors or numbers. It’s a great family game, and it can be played with children of all ages.

UNO is also best played with friends, so if you have a friend who wants to relax and have fun, this is the perfect game to play together!

I love UNO because it’s fast-paced and easy to learn. There are no complicated rules; just match the number or color on your card with those on other players’ cards in play. If you don’t have any cards left in your hand, then you’re out! When someone gets down to one card remaining in their hand, they shout “UNO!”

which means they are now out as well (or they may be forced by another player). If there isn’t an “undo” action available at any given time—like when there aren’t enough cards left for everyone else—then whoever has two or more cards remaining goes next instead of having their turn skipped over entirely like what would normally happen during gameplay unless something was done beforehand before then anyway…

Family Activities Are A Great Way To Spend Time

Family activities are a great way to spend time together doing something fun. There are so many family activities out there to choose from, it’s easy to spend hours trying them all! If you’re looking for some new ideas for the game night then look no further.

We’ve compiled 7 fun family game activities that will have the whole family entertained and laughing together. The best part? They don’t take much prep time so they can be done anytime!

Charades This is one of our favorites because it’s easy to play anywhere and any time of year – just grab some index cards or use your phone as a timer (you’ll need one). Everyone takes turns acting out a word or phrase while the others guess what they’re saying using only charades motions like “pushups” or “dance”.

After each round whoever guessed correctly gets rewarded with points! You can also make up your own rules like having players get penalized by getting their hands slapped instead of giving them points if their answer isn’t close enough.

Simon Says This classic game requires no equipment other than yourself (and maybe an audience). It’s simple but still fun; when someone says “Simon says…” follow their directions exactly as told until they say otherwise (in which case do not do whatever was commanded).

You can also add two more people into this mix by having everyone face outward toward another player and form a circle around him/her in order for each person inside the circle to be able both see what he/she does next before following suit.”

Conclusion

With a variety of activities, families can spend time together playing games that everyone will enjoy and have a lot of fun with.
