What To Do This Weekend For 7 Fun

You’re out of ideas and are desperate for something fun to do with the kids, but you don’t want to spend all your money or drive far.

We’ve all been there, and it’s not a good feeling. Luckily, we’re here to help with more than a few ideas for free and almost-free activities you can enjoy in Austin this weekend (or any day of the week!)

Attend One Of These Free Family-friendly Events

There are plenty of fun things to do in Austin this weekend, and many of them are free!

The Austin Symphony Orchestra is performing a free concert at the Paramount Theater on Saturday from 7-8 p.m. The program includes works by Rachmaninoff, Gershwin, and Scott Joplin.

On Sunday at 2 p.m., the Ballet Austin will be performing Swan Lake at the Long Center in downtown Austin. This classic ballet features beautiful costumes, graceful dancers, and an enchanting storyline that will keep your little ones captivated throughout the whole performance!

There are also plenty of affordable options available if you’re looking for something cheaper than $10 or less:

Plan A Playdate At One Of Austin’s Many Indoor Playgrounds

If you’re looking for a way to get your children out of the house, try planning a playdate at one of Austin’s many indoor playgrounds.

One of the great things about indoor playgrounds is that they are climate controlled and offer shade from the hot Texas sun. Some even have special events like birthday parties and activities throughout the week,

such as painting classes or story time sessions for little ones who want to practice their reading skills with books read aloud by teachers. There are several great options in Austin—here are some.

This place also hosts birthday parties with themes ranging from superhero-themed shows at night (with pizza) to day-time events where kids can play games while parents watch them from tables outside near food trucks parked nearby.”

Visit One Of The Many Museums In Austin

Austin is home to many museums, and they are a great way to spend time with kids.

Museums are also a great way to learn about the world around you and the past. Here are some of the best museums in Austin that you should visit this weekend.

Bake A Few Sweet Treats With Your Little Ones

Baking is a great way to spend time with kids while teaching them valuable life skills and having some fun in the kitchen.

It’s also a great way to make memories—and what better way would there be than sharing that experience with your loved ones?

Head To The Library For A Story Time, Crafts, Or Puppet Show.

If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, why not check out your local library?

Libraries are a great place to take kids. They often have story times, crafts, puppet shows, and other fun activities that the whole family can enjoy. If you’re interested in learning new things, going to your local library is also a great option because they offer workshops on all kinds of topics—from cooking healthy meals at home to starting a business. Libraries are also a great place to meet new people because many libraries host community events such as book clubs or concerts.

Spend Some Time At A Swimming Pool

Whether you’re at the beach, a resort, or someone else’s pool party, there are lots of things to do besides just swimming.

There are floats to lounge on and water toys to play with. If you’re at a resort or hotel, there will probably be some sort of kids’ club so that your kids can go have fun while you sit around the pool and get some rest (or read this article).

If the weather is nice enough for swimming outdoors and it’s safe where you live (there aren’t any alligators in your neighborhood), check out these fun outdoor pools:

Pasadena Swimming Pools – Pasadena has more than 40 municipal pools spread throughout its neighborhoods so there’s bound to be one nearby that fits your needs! This map shows all 41 locations available for public use during the summer months when temperatures reach 80 degrees Fahrenheit or higher.*

Play A Board Game, Or A Card Game, Or Legos

If you’ve got a few hours to kill, why not play a board game with your family or friends? You don’t have to be stuck at home with no one else around. You can play games online with other people from all over the world!

Or maybe you’re more into card games? Card games are also fun to play with friends and family. There are so many different types of card games that it’s hard picking just one!

Whatever you decide to do this weekend, make sure that it’s something that makes you happy and brings people together!

This List  Some Fun Ideas For You!

If you’re looking for fun things to do with kids in Austin, this list has some fun ideas for you!

Go to the zoo or aquarium. You can go at a less crowded time than normal and enjoy it more.

Have a party at home. Invite friends over, make some food and play games together! There are tons of board games out there that are great for families too!

Visit one of the many museums here like The Natural Science Museum or The Museum Of Art & Humanities (MOAH). They have great exhibits that both adults and children will love learning about!

Go see a movie at Alamo Drafthouse! It’s one of my favorite places in town because they have so many good movies playing all the time plus their food is amazing! Plus they have special events like Family Movie Nights which are super fun!

Conclusion

If you have to stay home and play with the kids. And that is not a bad thing. In fact, it’s a great way to bond with your kids and have some fun! My favorite thing to do on a rainy day is play board games or make a craft. That may not work for you, but it’s always good to have a few ideas in your back pocket during those cold winter months when the kids are cooped up indoors!
