11 Paper Craft For Kids Flowers

11 Paper Craft For Kids Flowers

If you want to make some paper craft for kids’ flowers, you’ve come to the right place!

There are many different flowers that you can make from paper.

Some of them are great for younger kids who don’t have a very long attention span (like the pompom flower)and some of them take a little more patience and might be better suited for older kids (like the rolled paper flower).

Paper Foam Flower

To make a paper foam flower, you will need.

Paper Foam

 Scissors

Hole punch (optional)

Fold the paper foam in half and cut out a flower shape. You can use a hole punch to make a hole in the center of your flower if you want it to be able to hang from something or be used as an ornament on its own.

A hot glue gun works well for attaching flowers to sticks, but this is optional as well if you prefer not to have any glue involved with your craft project!

Paper Flower Butterfly

Materials needed

  • One sheet of paper in a color of your choice (We used pink.)
  • Glue or tape for construction. We used tape because it’s easier to make than glue and you can use it to make little butterflies!

Step-by-step instructions

Fold your piece of paper vertically into thirds, then unfold it again so that you have a rectangle shape with two flaps at the top and bottom on either side of your paper.

Fold each flap upwards so that the edges meet at the center crease line — do not unfold! If necessary, secure these folds with tape or glue so they stay in place while you work on other parts of the project; now our butterfly has four wings instead of two since each wing is made up of two separate pieces!

Folded Paper Flower Sticks

Folded paper flower sticks are a fun craft for kids that can be used for a variety of projects.

They’re easy to make and can serve as a spring craft project or even be attached to a wreath.

You can use them to recycle old magazines, but if you want to get fancy, use new materials like colorful construction paper or cardstock.

Styrofoam Cup Flower

Styrofoam cups are a great place to start when it comes to paper crafting for kids.

They’re inexpensive and easy to find, and they come in plenty of different sizes.

Styrofoam cups are also great for younger children because they’re larger than most other options—which means smaller children won’t have trouble holding them, either.

Styrofoam cups can be cut into any shape or size you like, so if you want your child’s flower to have petals that look more like daisies or sunflowers, this is an ideal choice!

Pretty Flower Collage Card

Start by cutting out a variety of shapes from different types of paper.

You can use construction paper, tissue paper, and cardstock.

Attach the pieces with glue or tape until you have your desired flower shape!

Pompom Flowers

How to make a pompom flower.

Wrap the cardboard in paper and glue it down.

Cut out a circle large enough to fit over your cup or plate.

Make 8-10 rings around the edge of your plate and about 6-8 in the middle, depending on how big you want them to be when they’re done blooming!

Take each strip from step 3 and wrap it around one at a time tightly until all strips are wrapped up together into one big ball, then cut off any excess pieces that may not have been wrapped tightly enough before continuing on the next piece!

Add additional strips around this ball if desired for additional color combinations such as with red & white stripes; however, if desired simply re-roll each strip back around itself again until firm/tightly packed onto itself (try not to overlap too much so you don’t end up having tangled strings).

If there are gaps between these new strips add another layer directly behind it so there’s no space left between layers where string could easily unravel when finished rolling back into shape later on down the line

keep going until all sides look like they’ve got close enough coverage without being too thick overall sewn through twice as many times than necessary.”

Handprint Flowers

Paper,

You’ll need a few pieces of paper in different colors. You can use white or cream-colored paper for the background, but you could also use brown, blue, green—any color you like.

Paint,

For this project, you’ll need paint that is either washable or permanent (it’s up to you). You could also try using fabric paints if your child is old enough and experienced enough with them! Just be sure not to get any of it on their skin—it will stain their skin forever!!! Then again….that might be kind of fun!

Paper Plate Flowers

Paper plate flowers are easy to make, and they’re fun for kids.

The flowers can be made in any color and can be made to fit any occasion.

They can also be made in any size and shape.

Rolled Paper Flowers

To begin, you’ll need a long strip of paper. Use a pencil to roll it into a cone shape.

Then, wrap the paper around the pencil and secure it at the base with tape or glue.

Once your flower is dry, cut away any extra paper so that only half of what remains hangs over on each side.

Crepe Paper Flowers

Crepe paper flowers are a great way to decorate for any occasion!

They’re also easy and inexpensive. You can make crepe paper flowers in a variety of colors, as well as in any size.

You will need

Crepe paper (white) – approximately 2 yards per flower you wish to make

Quilted Craft Stick Flower Mural

What you need.

A large piece of cardboard, a small bowl or cup, craft sticks, glue or tape, scissors

Cut the cardboard into a square that is just slightly larger than your desired mural size. (For example, if you want to make a 4×4 mural use 4×5.)

Put glue or tape on one side and then begin to glue down the craft sticks vertically in even intervals across your surface.

Once all of your craft sticks are laid out evenly flip them over and lay them back down again horizontally so they form two layers with each stick touching its neighboring stick above and below it.

Making paper flowers with your kids is fun and rewarding. It’s easy to do, and it’s a great way to get them into the craft of making things with their hands.

Kids can make simple shapes like paper cups and cones into flowers, or they can use their hands to make flowers out of crayons!

Paper crafting is also good for fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. If you’re looking for more ways to encourage these skills in your kids (or yourself), try making other crafts that involve cutting or coloring paper, such as our origami instructions page.
