11 Van Craft For Kids

11 Van Craft For Kids What’s more fun than a camper van? A paper plate camper van, of course.

This is a great craft for kids to make with their families or friends, and it’s an easy one to accomplish with minimal supplies and time! Make sure you have plenty of plates on hand before you start this project because they’ll be coming in handy later.

Paper Plate Camper

Materials.

  • paper plate
  • crayon or markers
  • glue or tape (optional)

How To Make It.

Cut the top and bottom off of your paper plate. Then cut it in half vertically, so that you have two equal-sized circles. Next, cut out a door for your camper with scissors or an X-Acto knife by tracing around a circular object such as a cupcake liner (this creates what’s called an “ellipse”—a mathematical term for describing something that looks like an oval).

If you want to make windows out of construction paper, go ahead! You can cut out pieces from old cereal boxes if you don’t have any construction paper on hand. The only thing left is to glue them onto the outside of your camper with glue or tape if necessary!

Camping Van Tissue Box

What you’ll need.

  • Paper towel tube (one per child)
  • One-inch piece of cardboard, cut into a circle shape and one inch larger than the circumference of the tube (per child)
  • Craft glue or hot glue gun (per child)

Plastic Bottle Camper Van

You will need.

  • plastic bottles (empty, cleaned, and cut into pieces)
  • cardboard or foam board (one sheet)
  • marker to draw the patterns on the van body

scissors.

to cut out the shapes from your cardboard or foam board sheets. If you are using a stencil, it is important that you use sharp scissors and do not cut off any part of it. Please ensure that your little one is supervised at all times when handling knives or other sharp objects.

If you have some spare time, draw a few designs for him/her so that he/she can practice drawing with crayons as well as cutting out different shapes with safety scissors before starting this craft project!

  • Glue gun + glue sticks (if using hot glue guns)
  • Tape – masking tapes work best!

Make sure you read our tips below before starting this project!

Camper Craft Stick Boxes

You will need some craft sticks

(these can be found at your local craft store), glue and paint.

For this craft, you will also need a paintbrush.

Van Paper Box

The paper box is the basis of this craft, so make sure you have one on hand! To begin, take your paper box and cut it in half vertically.

Then, cut each half in half again (four pieces total). Using two of these pieces as your base, glue them together at the bottom to create a rectangle shape. If you’re feeling fancy, you can use a ruler and pencil to draw straight lines for added effect.

Now that you have your basic rectangle shape down pat, it’s time to start cutting out windows and doors. Use scissors or an X-Acto knife (or both!) to make openings for where windows should go along with doorways for access into your vehicle—these will be placed toward the top of each side panel when looking at them from above when folded flat like in step 1 above).

We suggest making three windows across each front panel and two doorways on either side; however, if this seems tedious try using only one door opening instead!

DIY Camper Airplane Box

You can turn a cereal box into an airplane with a simple design, or you can go all out and create a camper airplane that can be used for hours of fun.

Here’s how to make it.

Get your supplies together: A cereal box, some cardboard, tape, and other craft materials (like markers).

Measure the length and width of your cereal box from top to bottom with your ruler; cut off the top flap so it’s flat like this picture below (you’ll need two pieces for each plane.)

Cut out an oval shape in one of these pieces with your knife at least three inches long—this is where you’ll put holes later!

Use pencils or paint to decorate both sides of both planes however you’d like!

Use hot glue guns on both sides where they touch each other (so when they’re folded together they stay together well).6. Punch holes around the perimeter of each plane near where they’ll overlap when folded together.

Paper Dolls Go Camping in a Camper Van Craft For Kids

The first two steps are to make the paper dolls and a camper van. To do this, you’ll need some construction paper and glue.

Cut out your dolls from one sheet of white or light-colored construction paper. You can use regular scissors for these, but if you want to make things easier on yourself, cutters are wonderful tools for cutting out shapes (or other people) from their sheets of colored paper!

Once the dolls are cut out, draw on lines for their clothing with markers or crayons—or even paint if you want more detail!

Don’t forget to add shoes too as they will be wearing hiking boots while camping in their camper van overnight with friends and family members alike! Next up: making a campfire!

Crafts to Make with Empty Cereal Boxes

You don’t have to throw out your empty cereal boxes! Here are some fun crafts you can do with them.

Make a grow-your-own terrarium by filling it with soil and planting succulents or cacti.

This project is also great for kids because it helps develop their fine motor skills, which will help them later in life when writing and drawing. They’ll also love watching the plants take root! (Find the full article here.)
