13 Peacock Craft For Kids

But what if your child is too young to help with the cooking? Here are some great craft ideas that will ease their pain when they’re left out of kitchen duty!

Peacock Egg Carton Craft

Materials

  • egg cartons
  • glue stick
  • construction paper in colors of your choice (for the peacock’s body and the eyes)
  • scissors, pencil, or marker for tracing shapes

Popsicle Stick Peacock Card

This craft is a great way to use up leftover popsicle sticks and paint, plus it’s easy enough that even the littlest crafters can join in on the fun.

Collect your popsicle sticks and other supplies. You’ll need popsicle sticks, some glue (to hold them together), and peacock feathers (if you don’t have any feathers, you can use peacock feather stickers).

Paint each end of the popsicle stick with bright colors like blue or red.

Glue a bunch of these colorful ends together into a circle shape that forms an “O” when viewed from above. Let dry for about an hour before moving on to step 4!

Paper Plate Peacock Craft

Materials

  • Paper plates in various colors
  • Googly eyes (at least one per peacock will be needed)
  • Glue (I use Elmer’s Glue-All)

Time to Make 10 minutes or less, depending on how many you make and how detailed you want them to be. The more time you spend on this craft the more time it will take.

Time for storage is also easy, just put all your peacocks away until next year when you can reuse them again! Easy peasy lemon squeezy, as my Grandma would say.

How to Use Them

I’ve used these at parties as centerpieces and even had them hanging from trees outside! They look great in any setting and add a nice touch of color without being too overwhelming or expensive like balloons or confetti might be

Box Peacock Craft

The peacock is a beautiful bird that has a vivid, colorful display of feathers.

It’s no wonder children love them! You can make your own papercraft peacock using a simple box, some craft paper, and markers.

The best part about this project is that it will only take about 15 minutes from start to finish!

Printable Peacock Paper Bag Puppets

Printable peacock puppets are great for kids to use in a puppet show, puppet play, or puppet performance.

Print these out and cut them out then hand the pieces over to your child so they can put together their very own paper bag peacock.

Let them decorate their paper bag peacocks how they want using crayons or markers!

How to Make a Peacock Feather Hat Craft

Materials

  • A sheet of poster board, or any other stiff paper.
  • Feathers (as many as you can get)
  • Glue stick or tape to secure the feathers on the hat.

Instructions

  • Cut out the peacock feather shape using a pair of scissors.

Place glue on the backside of one single feather and press firmly onto the bottom left corner of one side of your cutout peacock feather shape (you should have glued two feathers together at this point).

Repeat until all sides are covered by feathers/feather shapes, overlapping them slightly as necessary for fullness and harmony within your design aesthetic preference(s).

Use tape if necessary to keep everything in place; this is especially helpful when working with small children who may not be able to hold down pieces for long periods at a time due to short attention spans caused by sugar rushes from eating too many lollipops while making crafts!

Remember that no matter what happens during this stage, there’s no right way or wrong way when it comes to creating something new — just relax into whatever happens naturally without stress over whether everything needs perfect alignment before moving forward towards completion!

Handprint Art Picture Craft

Made with a Handprint Peafowl and Footprint Bird Feet!

The supplies you will need to make this craft are listed below.

  • 1 sheet of white construction paper
  • and sharp scissors (for cutting out the handprint peacock)
  • a pencil or fine tip marker (to trace around the footprints, if desired)
  • black and yellow craft paint in squeeze bottles, or paint brushes for painting by hand with acrylic paints (the type used for oil paintings will work best because they are thick and stay on longer than watercolors.)

To make this project: First, cut a peacock body shape out of the paper as shown above. Next, trace around your child’s foot on yellow construction paper and cut out two bird feet shapes; these can be placed under either side of their handprints so they look like they are standing up straight instead of laying down flat against each other.

If you want to add eyes or any other details to your peacock picture, draw them onto him now before painting begins! Finally, use black paint around all four sides where his wings meet up with his body so that there won’t be any white showing through when we begin applying coats over top later on today’s lesson plan )

When finished painting everything together should look similar enough like mine pictured above but feel free to experiment with different color combinations based on ours if desired )

Some great display ideas include hanging them up inside frames such as picture frames made from cardboard boxes covered firstly wrapping plastic bags around both ends and then covering those again using old newspaper strips stapled tightly into place keeping everything secure enough so no moisture gets inside causing mold growth which could ruin those precious memories forever!

Peacock Friendship Bracelet Kids Craft

Start with a length of embroidery floss about 18 inches (45 cm) long, then tie both ends together to make a circle.

Holding the two ends of your bracelet firmly, wrap them around the center three times and hold tightly as you pull tightly on each end to complete your knotting step.

Now add more strands by wrapping another layer around it in an over-under pattern (over 3 times, under 3 times).

Continue adding layers until you reach your desired thickness!
