7 Fun Craft For 6-Year-Olds

My six-year-old is always looking for fun and creative activities.

He’s a very hands-on kid.

These are some of the best crafts I’ve done with him

Make Metal Stamped Bracelets

Materials

Hammer

  • Metal stamp
  • Metal bracelet

Instructions:

Carefully hammer the stamp into the metal bracelet, making sure to hold it at a 45-degree angle. If you make a mistake, use pliers to gently pull out the stamp and start again. This will leave an imprint of your design on your bracelet!

Allow the design to cool off before taking off any excess metal with pliers (if needed).

Learn How To Make String Bracelet

Making a simple string bracelet is one of the easiest crafts for 6-year-old girls. You need

  • A thin piece of sturdy cotton cord or yarn (approximately 7 feet long)
  • Scissors or wire cutters
  • A needle and thread, hand sewing needles work well if you don’t have a sewing machine.

To make your string bracelet: Cut 2 pieces of cord each 22 inches long. Tie an overhand knot at one end of one cord, then use that end to tie an overhand knot at the other end of the same piece.

Do this with every two pieces of the cord until all four ends are tied together in this manner. Trim off any excess cording from around these knots with scissors or wire cutters; you want them to be snug! Now it’s time to start weaving your friendship bangle! Hold both ends together in one hand and bring them down diagonally so there’s a loop on top between your thumbs and forefingers on each side.

imagine holding two ends together as if they were bookmarks sticking out from opposite sides of a book (picture below). Then take one Create An Indoor Obstacle Course bottom corner between thumb and forefinger on each side again as shown above…Continue weaving until the desired length has been reached

Draw And Create With Sidewalk Chalk

For kids, drawing is a great way to express themselves. You can get creative and just draw whatever you want.

But you can also use drawing to take pictures! For example, you could draw a rainbow or an elephant with your sidewalk chalk.

You don’t have to use the sidewalk for this craft—you could use paper instead, or even sand (if it’s not too wet).

Create an indoor obstacle course

  • Create an indoor obstacle course.
  • Use a rope to make an “obstacle course” in your house, using the furniture as obstacles.
  • Use one chair and one table as the start and finish line.

Tie the other end of a long piece of rope to each leg of each piece of furniture, making sure that they are at least 4 feet apart from each other (the wider apart you place them, the harder it is). This will be your swinging rope!

Take another long piece of string/rope and tie it around one side of your child’s waist so that you can hold on while they jump over things with their arms out in front

(like they’re flying) or swing from side to side by holding on tight and letting go every once in a while! You can also turn this into a fun game by taking turns being “it.”

Use Legos To Create A Marble Maze Game

Legos are a great way to have fun, and they’re also a great way to teach kids about engineering.

This marble maze game is a simple project that you can make in just a few minutes.

First, place the legos into an order that looks like this.

Then add some marbles! You’ll need three small ones for the first round of play, one medium-sized one (the red line) for the second round of play, and two large ones (the yellow lines) for the third and final round of play.

Build Nunchucks Out Of Chopsticks And Cord

  • Chopsticks
  • Cord
  • Handles (optional)
  • Head (optional)

Make A Balloon Rocket Using Water And A Straw

Balloon rockets are fun to make and even more fun to fly. All you need is a balloon, a straw, water, and some masking tape.

To make your rocket, blow up the balloon until it’s about twice its normal size, then tape the end shut with a piece of masking tape. Fill the balloon with equal parts water and air through one end of the straw (be careful not to pop it!) so that it looks like this

Then quickly remove your finger from down in the neck of the bottle before pushing it back into place—this will allow air pressure inside your rocket to propel it upwards as soon as you release pressure on your finger! Voilà!

That’s all there is to make a balloon rocket! Try experimenting with different amounts of water and air in each rocket they’ll fly farther depending on how much weight they carry at launch time.”

There Are Lots Of Fun Crafts You Can Do With Kids

There are a lot of fun crafts you can do with kids. Kids can learn a lot from crafts and they can also be a great way for kids to express themselves.

A craft is a great way for your child to learn about the world around them, while also having fun.

This article will give you some ideas of what crafts you can make with your children that will help them get excited about learning new things.

Conclusion

Keep trying different projects until you find the one that works best for your family. Be prepared to make some mistakes and get a little messy along the way—that’s part of the fun!
