7 Ideas For Outdoor Games For Kids’ Birthday Party

“Boost the Fun at Your Kid’s Birthday Party with Exciting Outdoor Games

It’s officially summer and time to break out the backyard games! My kids are having a blast playing outside, getting in some good exercise, and enjoying the fresh air. I even found myself joining in on some of the fun! Here are a few of our favorite outdoor games to get you started on your own outdoor summer fun.

7 Ideas For Outdoor Games For Kids’ Birthday Party

To play, take turns sliding down the hill in an attempt to knock over your opponent’s chair before they do yours. If both players fall into their chairs at once or if someone falls over before reaching their own chair then no one wins!

The winner can either be decided by counting how many people were knocked out or by having everyone pay $5 per round they played until only one person has money left and they win that amount instead of being eliminated from the competition altogether as normal card games might require.”

If you’re hosting a kid’s birthday party at your home, but have limited outdoor space, you may be worried that the kids will get bored. These outdoor party games for kids are fun for every age and can easily fit into most yard spaces.

Sponge Sling

Sponge Sling is a popular backyard game that can be played by just about anyone. You and your friends will slide sponges down the hill while trying to knock each other off balance.

The first person to get knocked off the slope wins! To set up, place two sturdy chairs at opposite ends of the hill. Then place another chair in between them on a flat surface so it doesn’t roll away. Finally, draw one line with chalk approximately 25 feet from each seat (you might want to mark this distance as well). That’s everything you need for Sponge Sling!

Pineapple Bowling

Pineapple bowling is an easy game to set up. All you need is a pineapple, bowl, ball, and pins. The basic idea of this game is to knock over the bowling pin using your (pineapple) bowling ball.

The way it works:

  • Cut off the top of your pineapple and scoop out some of the insides so that it’s hollow on all sides (this can be done before or after playing).
  • Get a group together and decide who will be what team captain/teammate/player in charge of helping with organization and which team gets to go first etc…

Ring Toss

Setup.

You will need a stick for each team (wooden sticks work best) and a bunch of plastic rings. Set up the ring toss area so that each player has at least 2 feet on either side of them.

You want to make sure they can stand comfortably while still being able to toss their ring into the pit.

How To Play.

The first person on each team picks up their stick and holds it vertically, with one hand holding on to the top and one hand holding on to the bottom. The two teams line up next to each other with their sticks lined up parallel so they can see how far apart they should be standing from one another.

One person from each team throws their ring while being cheered on by his or her teammates! If a player makes it into the hole three times in a row, he/she wins that round for his/her team! If not, then his/her turn is over until someone else gets three points in a row (this means if there are only two people left in this round, whoever gets 3 points first wins). The last person standing wins!

Balloon Stomper

A fun, energetic game that’s perfect for all ages, Balloon Stomper is a great way to get kids moving while they’re outside. All you need is a lawn or grassy area and some balloons.

To play the game, stand in a circle with your friends and then blow up one balloon per person (or two if you want it to be more competitive).

Whoever gets their balloon closest to the center wins! You can use your hands or feet to help move it closer—you just have to make sure not to pop it before you get there!

Outdoor Scavenger Hunt

A scavenger hunt is a fun way to get kids out and about. It’s also a great way to build their fine motor skills, as they’ll need to write, take photos and collect items.

Plan ahead: Give yourself enough time to plan your hunt! Make sure all the supplies are ready and that any potential obstacles have been taken care of (like getting permission from the property owner).

Get a list of items from the kids: This can be done by having each child write down one thing they want to find on a piece of paper, which will then be put in an envelope that you keep sealed until you’re ready for them to open it up.

Give them a time limit: Kids love competition so it’s important for there to be some sort of prize involved with this game (like candy or stickers). If there isn’t enough time during the party then maybe have another round later so everyone can participate equally!

Water Spoon Race

Water Spoon Races are a low-cost, easy-to-assemble outdoor game that everyone can play.

The only supplies you’ll need are water spoons (you can check the party store or your local thrift store) and some markers if you want to decorate them.

You can also divide kids into teams of two, so they race against each other to see who can fill their spoon first with water from the swimming pool and bring it back to the starting line.

Freeze Dance

Freeze dance is a great game to play with kids on the lawn. It’s easy to set up and packs a lot of excitement into a short amount of time, as there’s always one more person left standing in the end.

You’ll need music for this game—it can be played through a phone or CD player in the background, or you can create an impromptu playlist if you have access to speakers that are close enough for everyone to hear clearly.

Make sure your guests know ahead of time what song will end the game so they know when it’s okay to start dancing again!

Ice Balloon Sculpture Race

The Ice Balloon Sculpture Race is an exciting game that involves kids racing to finish sculpting a balloon using ice, while also racing the clock.

Kids can make a balloon out of anything, but ice is more challenging and requires some creativity! For example, you could fill balloons with water so they become heavy and difficult for your child to carry around in the wind.

Or maybe you want to use balloons as part of your construction material instead of paper towels or newspaper because they’re easier to hold onto when wet than most other materials would be. There are many ways you could challenge your little ones during this game, so give them creative freedom while still keeping them focused on finishing their sculpture before time runs out!

The Treasure Hunt.A treasure hunt is great for any age group, and it’s easy to make one up yourself. You could use a guidebook from the library or search online for ideas on how to set up your own treasure hunt. If you’re looking for inspiration, try Googling “Treasure Hunt Games For Kids.

In a group setting, each child will have their own list of clues that they have to follow in order to find their way back home (or wherever else). Make sure everyone has plenty of time—and keep track of whose turn it is! If any kids get lost along the way, help them out by giving them clues as well! Be sure not to give away too many details at once though—it’ll be more fun if they have to work hard!

If you want something simpler than an actual treasure hunt game then pinning small gifts (puzzles/stickers) around your house works just as well! This type of activity makes an excellent addition when combined with other activities like face painting and making crafts together.
