Simple Art And Craft For Kids

Looking for some simple arts and craft ideas for children? Art and craft are great activities for kids.

The best part is that it doesn’t need to be complicated or costly. Stick to these simple arts and crafts for kids, and you won’t go wrong!

They’re easy to do, too, so even the youngest of kiddos can join in on the fun.

Cut And Paste Cats

To make the cat, cut out two large circles for the body,

two small circles for the ears, and a triangle shape for the tail. You can also glue on extra details like eyes and whiskers.

Finally, glue on a collar and bow to finish off your cat picture.

Painted Rocks From Space

For this project, you will need. Rocks (at least two) with flat sides and a high enough surface area to paint on.

Try to find ones that are similar in size, but if your rock collection is lacking in uniformity then that’s okay.

Paint (your choice of color) and a brush for application. If you have small children who are likely to eat the paint off their hands or clothes, use non-toxic watercolors or finger paints instead of regular acrylics or oil pastels.

Optional extras include glitter glue or other decorative materials like sequins or beads. They’re not strictly necessary though!

How long it takes depends entirely on how creative you want to just think about what would look best on your rocks after they dry then go from there! In order for this craft project to last longer than one day (or more), seal them with clear spray varnish after they dry completely so nothing can crack off when handling them over time

Crayon Coffee Mug

This is a great craft for kids! All you will need is construction paper, crayons, and a coffee mug. To make your own crayon mug simply cut out a heart shape from the construction paper.

Color in the heart with different shades of red and pink or whatever colors you like best. Next, trace your child’s hand onto some baking parchment paper or waxed paper so that there is one hand on each side of the cup (you can also place an adult’s hand next to theirs).

Make sure that the palm of their hands is facing up toward the inside of their mug. Using a hot glue gun attach your child’s hand print to each side of their mug leaving some room at the top so they can drink from it when they’re done drinking hot cocoa/coffee etcetera! Finally, wash off all glue residue with warm water once dry then enjoy using them!

Paper Plate Ocean Animal

You need a paper plate, ribbon, and paint. Cut out a circle for the mouth and two smaller circles for eyes on the face of your craft animal template.

Paint these pieces green or brown to match the character you’re making (we went with an elephant).

Glue everything together using a hot glue gun—the eyes first, then add some glue dots between them to create nostrils before gluing on the mouth cutout lastly so that it looks like an open smile!

Tie some ribbon around your creature’s neck to make sure it doesn’t fall apart when kids start playing with their new friends at home!

Paper Rainbow Fish

To make a paper rainbow fish, you will need

  • Paper plates
  • Tissue paper
  • Craft glue
  • Paint and paintbrush (optional)
  • Marker (optional)
  • Scissors
  • Hole punch
  • Fishing line or something similar. For this activity, you will use the hole punch to put holes in the middle of your paper plate. Then for your tail, you can use a fishing line and staple it onto your fish.

Flower Crafts For Kids

Materials.

  • Scissors
  • Popsicle sticks or wooden skewers
  • Tissue paper in different colors to match your child’s tastes (or you can use colored paper if you’d prefer)
  • Glue or tape. You can also use a glue stick, which is easier for little hands to handle. Just be careful not to let them stick their fingers together with the glue!

Tissue Paper Suncatcher

Materials needed. tissue paper, cut into small squares or triangles, and different colors if you want to make it more colorful. You can use a variety of colors as well!

  • scissors
  • waxed paper/cookie sheet (optional)

The time needed: 20 minutes (if you’re little and have help cutting the tissue paper)

How to make: Cut out squares or triangles from your tissue paper. Use 1 color for each square, or mix them up for extra color!

Then glimmer your stars with glitter glue by dabbing some on top of each star. Be sure not to get too much in there because it’ll be hard to hang out with later!

Hang them up using string or twine (or whatever else you may have lying around), and put a hole through each corner so that they don’t rip apart easily when people touch them 🙂

Try These With You Kids

Paint a pot. Make a collage.

Glue pictures of things you like on cardboard then cut them out and hang them on the wall.
