Easy Easter Craft For Kids

Easter is almost here, and it’s time to get ready for the Easter egg hunt!

If you’re looking for a fun Easter craft to make with your children this holiday season, we’ve got you covered.

These DIYs are easy and inexpensive to make, and they will definitely get your little ones excited about Easter.

Empty Plastic Easter Eggs As Cute Easter Decoration

Re-purpose your empty plastic Easter eggs as cute Easter decorations (and save them for next year’s Easter egg hunt, too!).

  • How to turn empty plastic Easter eggs into cute Easter decorations.
  • Save them for next year’s Easter egg hunt.
  • How to make them last for years to come: Store them safely away from sunlight and heat, and don’t put them in direct contact with metals like copper or iron. Never use sharp objects on the eggs because they can crack the plastic!
  • Ideas for how to use your adorable little eggs as decorations around the house: Use them as a place card holder on each guest’s plate at your next dinner party; hang a bunch of these from a branch in your backyard; display them on your mantelpiece or bookshelf—the possibilities are endless!

What You Will Need

  • Plastic Easter eggs
  • Craft sticks
  • Craft glue (I recommend Aleene’s Original Tacky Glue) * Paint * Decorations (optional) * Ribbon or string to hang your creations (optional)

Make Foot And Hand Prints With Your Little Ones.

Use white paper or a paper towel.

  • Apply paint with a paintbrush, stamp pad, sponge or roller.
  • Let dry.

It’s that simple!

Prints And Attach To Craft

Trim around the prints and attach them to the craft stick.

Use a paintbrush to spread glue on the print before attaching it to the craft stick.

Add a bow to the top of the craft stick.

If you want to use glue, simply place it onto the top of your craft stick and press down hard for five seconds.

If you’d rather use tape or string, then cut them into squares (or whatever shape you want) and attach them to your project as well!

Embellish Your Eggs With Stickers

Gems or any other decorations that you have on hand! You can use stickers, gems or any other decorations that you have on hand.

You can also use paint, glitter, or markers. It’s up to you! Just make sure it looks good and is something your child likes.

You can use any kind of egg (plastic, wooden or real). The only thing that matters is how big the shell of the egg is for fitting into a craft stick holder.

The same goes for the craft stick – just make sure its size will fit comfortably inside an eggshell so it won’t fall out when you’re working with it later on!

Ribbon can also be attached in various ways depending on what style of ribbon has been chosen by mommy, daddy, grandma, grandpa, etcetera ). Maybe even some hot glue?

You don’t have to be an expert crafter or artist to create something memorable; these projects are easy enough for preschoolers to do on their own or with help from mom or dad.
