Recycling Craft For Kids

Recycling Craft For Kids

As a parent, one of your most important jobs is to instill in your children a love of the Earth.

Recycling Craft For Kids

Today’s young people are tomorrow’s leaders, and these leaders will have to deal with the ramifications of humanity’s actions, both good and bad.

You can help teach your kids to protect the environment by encouraging them to recycle! These crafts will help you get started teaching them to upcycle garbage into cherished keepsakes.

Recycled Plastic Bottle Bunny

Use a plastic bottle for the bunny’s body. Use two plastic bottles to make the head and ears.

Cut the tops off two bottles and screw them together, then cut another bottle in half so that you have three pieces one large (the body), and two smaller (the head/ears).

You can use pipe cleaners for the eyes and nose.

For whiskers, cut the yarn into long strands and tie them onto each side of the face with a knot at the end so they’re standing up like whiskers.

Use a marker to draw on your bunny’s face by using black dots for its eyes, nose holes, or circles around them if you want more of an anime look!

Salt Dough Handprint Plaque

Salt dough is a fun, easy craft to do with kids. It’s also a great way to introduce them to the concept of recycling!

Salt dough is traditionally made by mixing flour and salt with water until it forms a dough, but if you’re looking for an even simpler option, try making salt dough out of glue and cornstarch instead.

This recipe yields a much less crumbly end result than traditional salt dough recipes; plus it’s super easy! Mix together 1 cup of white school glue (Elmer’s or Elmer’s Washable School Glue), ¼ cup cornstarch, and ¼ cup water in one bowl until they’re well combined.

Then divide your mixture into as many different bowls as you want colors; this recipe makes enough purple, blue, and green paint for three small handprint plaques. Combine ½ teaspoon red cabbage powder per color with 2 teaspoons of warm water in another bowl; this will create vibrant paints for decorating your finished plaques!

To create your handprint plaque: Roll out the globby salt-dough mix on an old piece of cardboard or other nonporous surfaces (like plastic wrap). Use cookie cutters or stencils to make fun shapes from the colored chunks—we used hearts for Valentine’s Day! Place some plastic wrap over these areas so that everything doesn’t stick together while they dry overnight at room temperature (about 8 hours).

When they’ve reached their full hardness—you’ll know when they become very firm—peel away any transparency around them so that you can paint over all sides equally well before removing anything else like excess bits sticking out beyond the edges of each shape being covered up by other pieces already stuck down there too tightly due to similar sizing differences between pieces compared against each other

Recycled Felt Toy

Felt is a natural material that is biodegradable, so it’s perfect for kids to use in crafting.

You can buy colored felt at craft stores or make your own from scraps of wool sweaters. Felt is easy to cut and sew, too!

If you’re looking for a way to get creative with recycled materials, this project is just what you need.

These Fun Crafts Encourage Kids To Recycle Household Materials.

Recycling crafts for kids are great ways to encourage them to recycle household materials.

They can be creative, imaginative, artistic, innovative, and resourceful while also being responsible.

Many of the crafts in this section will encourage your little ones to use items they already have around the house.

This is a great way to teach your children that recycling doesn’t have to mean turning trash into treasure (although it can be done!).

Instead, it just means finding new uses for stuff you already own!
