11 Jingle Bell Craft For Kids

Introduction

Christmas is right around the corner, and you know what that means: it’s time for fun crafts! Get your kids into the holiday spirit with these 11 jingle bell crafts for kids. They’re easy to make, affordable, and sure to bring a little magic into your home this winter season.

Jingle Bell Wreath

A jingle bell wreath is a fun way to decorate for the holidays. The best part about making this Christmas craft for kids is that you can use a variety of materials, all easy to find at your local craft store or dollar store.

A jingle bell wreath is typically made with a wire wreath form, which comes in different sizes and shapes depending on what look you are going for. You will also need bells of varying sizes — larger ones will make more noise when they jingle together!

It’s important to note that while we’re using winter colors here, these same materials could easily be used to make an adorable summer version too!

Jingle Bell Napkin Rings

Jingle Bell Napkin Rings are a simple and fun way to add Christmas cheer to your dinner table.

Materials:

  • Jingle bells (we used different colors)
  • Scissors or wire cutter (if you are using wire)
  • Various fabrics, felt, or other decorative materials

Directions: 1. Cut the base off of each jingle bell and discard it. 2. Cut out a ring from your fabric or felt (or use whatever you have handy). Use smaller rings for smaller napkins if you want! 3. Wrap around the top of the bells and wrap tightly with twine or thread (if using wire). 4. Tie in place with another length of twine, ribbon, etc., if desired; trim ends even with end of base ring so they don’t show when finished product is wrapped around napkin holder/stand/whatever else you may want them on! 5.. Voila! You have made yourself some super fancy napkin rings that will fit perfectly into any holiday decorating scheme

Jingle Bell Door Decor

Materials:

  • paper plate
  • jingle bells
  • glue or tape (your choice)

Instructions:

  • Cut the paper plate to be in the shape of a snowflake. You can make the size bigger if you want your snowflakes to be more visible from afar, or smaller if you’d like them to be more detailed and take up less space on your door. Either way, it will look great!
  • Glue together your jingle bells and hang on top of each other at the top of your paper plate so that they form a cluster of bells when hung from a string or ribbon with small holes drilled into it for hanging purposes!

Jingle Bell Decorations

If you want to get a little more creative, you can use jingle bells to decorate your home for Christmas.

  • Jingle Bell Wreath: Who doesn’t love a wreath? And who doesn’t love the sound of jingle bells? The two together make this craft super fun!
  • Jingle Bell Tree Ornament: This is another super cute idea if you want to take your tree decoration game up a notch. It’s also easy enough that even younger children will enjoy helping out with this activity.
  • Jingle Bell Door Decorations: You know how much we all love door decorations, right? Well, these jingle bell door decorations are so adorable that they’re sure to be a hit with everyone in the family!
  • Jingle Bell Wall Hanging Ornament: This one is designed to hang on your wall rather than being placed on the tree itself but it looks just as festive as everything else we’ve seen here today so don’t worry about getting anything less than festive when using it!

Jingle Bell Garland

Materials needed:

  • Jingle bells
  • Green yarn (You can use any color, but green is the traditional color for Christmas)
  • 2 inch wide ribbon or twine in a coordinating color to the yarn (optional)How to make it:
  • Cut green yarn into two pieces approximately 1 yard each. You may need another piece of string if you want a longer garland! Tie one end of each piece to a jingle bell and braid together until you’re happy with your length. Don’t forget that you’ll be hanging this from something so don’t make it too long!2. Tie off each end with some more jingle bell, tie both strings together and hang up somewhere near where people will see them!3. Decorate with whatever else strikes your fancy! For example, my son likes red bows so I added some red bows to ours instead of using ribbons at all because they look pretty too 🙂

Jingle Bell Ornament

This project is great for kids because it involves a lot of coloring and gluing. You’ll need:

  • Jingle bells (the smaller, the better!)
  • Ornament hooks (or any other kind of hook)
  • Tissue paper in any color you like
  • Paint (and paintbrushes) in two or three colors
  • Craft glue/glue stick

Jingle Bell Christmas Tree

You’ll need:

  • A length of ribbon that’s long enough to weave through the top of your tree, plus at least 14 jingle bells. If you use a fat ribbon like I did, you might want to double it up for strength and durability.
  • A green ornament for your tree’s base. You can use anything from a plastic pot with a drainage hole drilled in its bottom (like I did), or whatever other thing you might have lying around that’s green and has a hole in the middle.

How To Make It:

  • Weave your ribbon through all of the spaces between each set of branches on your tree shape so that it looks like this:
  • Poke string or wire into one end of each jingle bell so they won’t slip off when hung on either side of your tree shape. I used colored thread since it matched my theme better than plain white; if you don’t have any handy, try using strips cut from leftover fabric instead! Try hanging them so they rest against one another with their necks facing downwards (this will make them easier to see). If they’re too big/heavy, trim them down until they’re just right – remember: You do not want these falling off under any circumstances!

Jingle Bell Picture Frame

You’ll need:

  • A picture frame (you can get one from the dollar store or make your own out of cardboard)
  • Jingle bells (You can buy them at the dollar store, but you can also make them out of paper or plastic.)
  • Ribbon or string for hanging the frame
  • Glue to put together the frame and bells

Jingle Bell Elves

Materials Needed:

  • Jingle bells (any size)
  • Paint (red, white, and green)
  • Paintbrushes (one for each color)
  • Clay or Play-Doh to mold hats and scarves out of. You can also use Sculpey if you want a more durable hat!

Directions: 1. Using paints and brushes, paint your jingle bells red, white, and green. 2. Use clay or play dough to make different shapes for the hats and scarves; press them onto the top of each bell when they are dry 3. Decorate your elves using buttons, glue dots etc 4 Make sure all of your jingle bells will fit inside the elf’s hat by sticking them together with hot glue If you’re having trouble making everything fit together right away just keep trying until it works!
