7 Fun Activities To Do With Covid

While we all continue to ride out the pandemic and look for ways to keep ourselves safe, it’s also important to find ways to stay active, healthy, and sane.

While outdoor activities are on the rise again in many places around the country (with appropriate social distancing measures), there’s no reason why you can’t enjoy some fun indoor activities as well! Here we’ll take a look at some of our favorite ways to stay entertained while staying home during COVID-19.

Walkie Talkie

Giving your friends a walkie-talkie is an easy way to communicate long distances. You can use it to talk to people in other rooms,

family members at home, or even people who live across the country.

You can also use this device for fun conversations with your kids. For example, if you’re traveling with them and want them to have some entertainment on the plane, this is a great way for them to play games or just talk with each other.

Read a Book

It’s so easy to overlook this simple pleasure. Reading can be a great way to spend time with your child, spouse, or friend during the week. Pick out a book from the library and read it together.

You might discover that you all have similar interests in books! Maybe one of your parents is an avid reader as well and would enjoy reading some new material! Maybe you want to pick up a classic novel or historical fiction piece together and share in its adventure and excitement!

Books are also great for spending time with your grandparents or children when they visit (especially if they’re not old enough yet). You don’t have to stay indoors either; take advantage of the weather by going outside while reading under an umbrella tree or beside a lake. There are many different types of books available so there’s no excuse not do this activity today!

Watch A Movie

There are so many movies out there that you can watch together. Here are some ideas for movies you and your family could enjoy.

  • [Harry Potter])
  • [The Incredibles]
  • [Wreck-It Ralph]

If you’re not sure what to watch, ask your grandparent what their favorite movie is!

Exercise

  • Exercises to do at home
  • Jump rope
  • Mountain climbers
  • Push-ups (from your knees if you need to)
  • Exercises to do with your kids.

Hide and seek is always fun. If you hide in a different spot each time, it can be more challenging! You can also try “freeze tag,” where everyone freezes when someone touches them on the back.

Then everyone unfreezes and tries again until someone else gets tagged. This game works well outside since there are more places for people to hide or run away from each other. Plus it gets kids moving around! The best part about these games is that they are simple enough for kids as young as 2 or 3 years old—but still fun for teenagers too!

Cook a New Dish

One of the best ways to spend a day with Covid is to cook a new dish. You can try a new recipe, or you can even make up your own!

Cooking is a great way to relax and have fun with friends, family, and even loved ones. You can get creative in the kitchen—as long as you follow these simple rules:

  • Never burn yourself on a hot pan (or anything else)
  • Always wash hands before cooking (and after) so that no one gets sick from food poisoning
  • Have fun!

Draw, Paint Or Complete A Puzzle

Puzzling is a great way to relax while keeping your mind sharp! Puzzles are a great activity that anyone can do, no matter their age. It’s also a fun way to spend time with friends and family.

The best part about puzzles is that you don’t have to be an artist or an expert at drawing in order to enjoy them! There are many different types of puzzles available; some of which will help keep your brain active as well! The more challenging ones require problem-solving skills that even children will enjoy using!

Zoom With Friends and Family

A zoom is a video-conferencing tool that allows you to host meetings with up to 40 participants at a time. It’s like the Google Hangouts of old, but it’s more streamlined and has more features.

With Zoom, you can access your meeting from anywhere on any device (including mobile devices). You also don’t need an invite code or special permissions to join; anyone can join!

The best part about Zoom? It’s free for up to 40 participants so long as it’s used for business purposes only—so go ahead and get together with some friends or family members for some fun time over video chat!

Try These Fun Activities To Keep Busy

  • Have a list of activities you can do when you’re bored.
  • Have a list of people you can call when you’re bored.
  • Have a list of things to watch when you’re bored (movie, TV show, podcast).
  • Have a list of things to read when you’re bored (book, magazine, newspaper).
  • Have a list of things to do with your hands while being bored (knit/crochet something small and cute; braid hair; play with marbles in an empty soda bottle; fold origami animals).
  • Have a list of things to do with your feet while being bored (walk around the house barefoot; walk outside barefoot if it’s warm enough).

Conclusion

These are some of the activities I have done during Covid. When you are bored at home, you can do these activities to keep busy and have a great time. Make sure you check out all seven! I also recommend trying them with your friends or family members for even more fun.
