11 Art And Crafts For Kids With Waste Material

11 Art And Crafts For Kids With Waste Material

There are various ways to make your kid busy with art and craft.

11 Art And Crafts For Kids With Waste Material

The best thing about these arts is that they can be done with waste material, which is easier to find at home. Here are some ideas for kids:

Newspaper Hats

Take a pair of scissors, cut the newspaper into a strip and then roll it tight to make a hat band.

Take another newspaper strip and insert it into the first band to create a circle for your hat top.

Cut small strips from different parts of the paper and arrange them in an attractive pattern on top of your hat (this will be the brim).

You can also use paint or stickers to decorate your creation!

Bowls Made Out Of Newspapers

Cut out a circular piece of newspaper, place it on the floor and then fold it in half. Do this 5 or 6 times to make sure that there is enough strength to hold the bowl shape.

Unfold it and start wrapping around with tape as shown in the picture above. Use masking tape or any other adhesive tapes that are handy at home;

preferably use tape which will be able to hold its shape after being pulled tight. You can also use stickers if you have them on hand but don’t stick too many so that they might not be able to support weight when filled up with something heavier like sand or water!

Cards Made Out Of Paper Plates

Materials

  • Paper plate
  • Paint or markers
  • Glue stick or glue gun (optional)

Directions

Paint your paper plate with whatever color you like! You can also use markers to decorate it instead of painting it. If you want to add some flair, try writing something on the card in any font that will fit on the plate!

Once the paint has dried up for a few minutes, place the card onto another paper plate and trace around the edge of your design with a pencil or pen so that you know how large it should be once cut out.

Now cut along these lines so that all four sides have straight edges and can easily fit into each other without any overlapping marks whatsoever (this will help keep everything looking neat). If using glue sticks instead of guns/glues, then apply one small dab per corner side where they meet together as shown above (the dots represent where each dot was placed). When done both sides should look like the picture below:

A Colorful Windmill

A windmill is a mill that converts the energy of wind into mechanical energy. The windwheel of a horizontal wheel turns, via a transmission, to the driving shaft of an Archimedean screw or pump.

Windmills are used to grind grain and other solid foods, to pump water (for irrigation), and for many other tasks that require their use.

Windmills can be placed on platforms or towers in order to get increased height above ground level. Horizontal axis wind turbines have been used for over 1000 years as vertical axis wind turbines have been used for around 100 years in some cases.

Vertical axis machines usually consist of three parts: rotor blades that look like airplane wings; one or more nacelle housings at the top where they attach to the tower; and an inner shaft system inside each nacelle housing that transfers power from rotating rotors to fixed gearbox components which drive generators inside each nacelle housing either through belts or direct drives.[1]

Beautiful Windmill

  • Use waste material to make a windmill:
  • Make a paper flower vase
  • Make a pencil box

Pen Stand Made Out Of Bangles And Waste Bottles

Materials

  • Bangles and waste bottles

How to make it

  • Join the bangles together by sticking them with glue.

Make sure that you leave a space between the bangles so that you can put in the waste bottle later.

Assemble these pieces into a circular shape, leaving space for putting in the waste bottle underneath.

When assembled, stick glue on top of this circular structure and keep it aside for some time until it dries off completely. Then place your plastic bottle inside this structure and fit it in nicely by using a hammer or any other means that works best for you. Once removed from there carefully fill up gaps created by this process with some hot glue gun so as to give a good finish to your project

Art Pieces From Waste Cans

You can create some art pieces from waste cans. The idea is very simple, you just need to cut open the top of the cans, then use them as a container for your artwork.

As far as materials are concerned, you can use anything that can be found in your house or around you. You may use paints and pencils or crayons.

You may also make small figures with clay or play dough; children will love this activity and will find it more interesting if they are allowed to give it their own personal touch by decorating their own creations with stickers and other decorations.

Waste Bottle Turned Into A Pencil Box

Materials Required

  • A waste bottle.
  • Some colorful papers.
  • Glue and scissors.

Handmade Paper Bags From Newspaper And Old Magazines

To make a paper bag from newspapers or old magazines, you will need.

  • Newspaper sheets or magazines to make paper bags of any size and shape;
  • Cutting board or similar surface on which you can do your cutting;
  • Scissors for cutting the newspapers and magazines into small pieces;
  • Paper bag template (a sheet of cardboard cut into the shape of a paper bag is ideal).

Newspaper Socks For Keeping Jewelry And Small Items

If you have a set of newspapers, then why not use them to make socks for keeping jewelry and small items?

These can be used as a gift item too. You can make the socks look unique by adding ribbons or wrapping the ends with colorful paper tape, then using any kind of paper that is handy around your homes such as magazine pages or old greeting cards.

Creative Things To Make With Your Kid For Extra Fun

You can make all the items listed above with waste material. Kids are creative and their imagination is limitless, so why not encourage them to use their minds to create something that is fun, useful, and beautiful?

The best part about using waste material to make art and craft with your kid is that once you have finished making something you can use it again or give it away as a gift!

If you do not have any old clothes lying around then try asking friends and family members if they can donate some old clothes for this purpose instead of throwing them away when they no longer fit onto someone’s body anymore (or don’t look good anymore).

waste material craft for kids=

Waste material craft for kids is a wonderful way to encourage creativity, resourcefulness, and environmental awareness. By utilizing discarded materials, children can transform them into unique and imaginative artworks.

Simple items like cardboard boxes, plastic bottles, newspapers, and bottle caps can be repurposed into a variety of crafts. Kids can create colorful collages, build sculptures, make masks,

or design jewelry using these materials. Engaging in waste material crafts not only fosters artistic skills but also teaches children the importance of recycling and upcycling, instilling a sense of responsibility towards the environment from a young age.

Conclusion

With so many things to make and do, your child will never be bored again. They will be able to use their minds in a creative way and you can always join in the fun!
