11 Lotus Craft For Kids

The lotus flower is a beautiful and magical symbol, and there are lots of ways to incorporate it into your life.

I’ve rounded up some of my favorite lotus craft ideas here.

Lotus Flower From Paper Cups

This is the easiest version and can be made by even small children with a little help. Take a few paper plates and cut off their edges so they’re circular.

Cut slits into the center of each plate to create petals. You can do this with scissors or an Exacto knife. be careful!

Use tape or glue to attach several plates together, overlapping them slightly so that you have one big flower (you can add more plates if necessary). This should make a nice round shape that looks like a lotus flower when viewed from above.

If you’d like to give it some extra texture, crumple up some newspaper before attaching it to your craft project! Be sure not to use too much glue because otherwise, your piece will become stiff and difficult for kids’ hands to handle later on – don’t worry though because there are plenty of other ways we’ll show you how craft projects can come alive with movement once they’re finished being made )

Lotus Craft From Paper Plate

This is a fun and easy craft that can be done in just a few steps. All you need is a paper plate, some paint, and markers. The finished product will look like this:

Instructions.

Take your plate and cut out the center of it. This will give you an open “flower” shape. If you’re using a plastic plate then you don’t have to worry about cutting it because they’re already shaped like this!

Paint the petals of your flower with different colors of paint (or marker). You could also use crayons if you want something softer looking instead of bold colors like in this example photo above.

After letting them dry for a while (about 30 minutes), start drawing outside edges using markers or crayons again — either way should work fine! Just keep coloring until all five petals are filled up – don’t forget about those stems too though!! 🙂

Lotus Flower With Fingerprints

The lotus flower is one of the most beautiful flowers in the world. It looks like a lotus flower, but it’s made out of fingerprints and paint!

This craft is super easy to make and it’s so fun!

First, get some newspaper on your table or floor. The newspaper will be used as a base for your fingerprint project.

Next, put some paint on your fingers or hands (make sure to wear gloves if you have them). Then press down into the paper making different shapes with each hand until both sides are covered with fingerprints!

Beautiful lotus Painting With Cotton Balls

You can also use cotton balls to create a beautiful lotus painting.

You will need.

  • Paintbrush or sponge brush
  • Plate or piece of cardboard for mixing paint
  • Paper cup for water (if you’re using acrylic paint)
  • Pencil and ruler/tape measure if you’re making your own templates (optional!)

Beautiful lotus painting with a Clothespin

This is a really easy craft, and it’s also very budget-friendly! All you need is some clothespins and paint.

You can use any kind of paint that works well on clothespins; I prefer acrylic because it doesn’t dry out as fast.

You could also use cotton balls instead of clothespins for a different effect. Just make sure that the cotton ball has been fully soaked in water before painting it so that it will stay soft and flexible after drying (and not crack).

Handprint lotus Craft For Kids

  • To make this craft, you will need:
  • Paintbrush and paint (optional)
  • Glue gun and glue sticks (optional)
  • Paper cutter (optional)

Beautiful lotus painting with Fork

  • Use a fork to create the petals of the lotus flower.
  • Create a small circle with the handle end of your fork, and fill it in with dots.
  • Use your fork to create the center of your lotus flower by drawing in a few lines and then filling them in with more dots.

Create a stem shape by starting at one side of your circle, drawing outward, and then curving back into itself at an angle. Fill this line in with smaller circles or dots to make it look thicker, or keep it simple for a thinner stem if you prefer!

Finally, draw leaves using another small round object such as a toothpick or chopstick. Start from the base of each leaf (where it connects to its stem), going up toward an endpoint where two large loops connect back to where they started creating an oval shape around them both (see photos above).

Beautiful lotus Painting with a Comb

The lotus is one of the most beautiful flowers in the world, so it’s no wonder that kids love to paint it.

The best part about painting a lotus is that you can use almost any kind of tool to create your design—except for paintbrushes! Comb painting is just as easy as painting with brushes.

All you have to do is dip your comb into some water, then dip it into your wet paint on an easel or tray and start creating!

Strawberry Stem Prints Lotus Bloom Craft For Kids

This strawberry stem print lotus flower craft is a fun way to inspire kids to use their imagination and be creative.

It’s a great preschool activity that helps children learn about shapes, color mixing, and how to make prints with just a few supplies.

First, you will need:

  • Paintbrush
  • Watercolors or tempera paints (red, orange, yellow)
  • White card stock paper (or any white writing paper)

Fork Pressed Glitter Lotus Craft For Kids

  • For this project, you will need
  • White cardstock paper
  • Glitter (pink, purple, and yellow)
  • A fork (or similar flat object)
  • Pencil/pen for tracing and writing on the paper

Trace your hand onto a piece of white cardstock paper. Then trace around the outside edge of your hand to create a larger circle shape. Cut out this larger circle shape and fold it in half so that you have two smaller circles on top of each other.

With scissors or an Exacto knife cut away some of the material inside these two circles. This will create a hole in which you can insert your hand when placing it overtop later!

After cutting away some material from inside both circles place them back together but with one facing up while the other faces down then use tape around all sides except where they meet at their edges so they are secured together as one unit now! You should also have something like an oval-shaped ring made with these two cardboard pieces now too!

Paper Cut Out Lotus Craft For Kids

You can use a circle-shaped cookie cutter to make a lotus flower.

Print out the template on thick paper, and cut it apart with scissors or an X-acto knife. You’ll need at least three pieces in order to make the right shape, but you can add more for more flowers!

Place the outermost petals on a cutting board, then roll them up tightly. Make sure all edges are tucked in securely; this will become the center of your flower. Tape down any loose ends if needed.

Tape together with masking tape on all sides so that everything stays together securely as it dries upside down overnight (or longer). When dry, remove from tape carefully and place upright as shown above (this is best done after it’s dry because otherwise some parts may come unstuck).

Some Interesting Ideas For Crafts That Can Be Done By Kids

There are many ways you can teach your children about the lotus flower. The first idea is to use empty paper cups and turn them into beautiful lotus flowers.

Cut off the bottom of a paper cup, then cut up some green construction paper or other colored material into small squares. Place the green squares on top of each other, creating a stem for your lotus flower with each layer.

Then, glue three or four layers together so that they’re stable enough to stand on their own without falling apart at any moment! Once this part has dried to ensure that it won’t collapse when touched by anyone else who wants one too (or before if possible), glue another layer onto it until there’s enough room inside where someone could put their hand through just like how real ones look like when they bloom in the water!

Another great idea would be making one out of all different kinds of materials such as cardboard boxes instead of plastic cups since both types have been used traditionally but today we prefer using plastic due to its convenience factor more than anything else; however, don’t forget that there are plenty more options available besides just these two materials alone so try experimenting with different combinations yourself first before deciding which is right for you personally! lotus craft work
