5 Halloween Popsicle Stick Crafts Ideas

5 Halloween Popsicle Stick Crafts Ideas

Halloween is the perfect time to get together and do a craft with the kids.

With so many fun ideas out there, it’s hard to choose which one to make.

I have rounded up some great Halloween popsicle stick crafts that are fun for kids of all ages!

Popsicle Stick Scarecrows

These Popsicle Stick Scarecrows Are So Cute And You Can Easily Make Them With An Adult. For this project, you’ll need

  • popsicle sticks (the number will vary depending on how many scarecrows you’d like to make)
  • markers or paint
  • scissors

To make your popsicle stick scarecrow, first, use the marker or paint to draw a face on each of your sticks. Then cut off the top half of each stick so that it’s flat on top. Finally, glue two sticks together at an angle to form an arm. You can glue two other sticks together as well if you’d like more arms; just make sure they’re angled in opposite directions!

Popsicle Stick Frame

You Could Give Each Child A Popsicle Stick Frame And Have Them Decorate It To Look However They Want

  • To make the frame, cut a piece of cardboard into a rectangle and then use scissors to cut slits all along the top edge. You’ll want to keep those cuts fairly close together (about 1/2 inch apart) so that your popsicle sticks will fit through them easily when you’re done.
  • Once your popsicle sticks are dry, slide each one into a slit in the cardboard frame until it’s just barely hanging out on either side of the slit. You want there to be enough room for glue, but not too much space where it won’t stay in place when you put glue on it later on!
  • Once all your popsicle sticks are glued in place and dry, hang up and enjoy!!

Make Cute Halloween Masks

Make these cute Halloween masks as decorations or to wear! You’ll need a popsicle stick, paper, glue, and paint. You can make a scary or happy mask.

If you’re making it for the holidays, the mask should be painted in orange and black colors. The eyes should also be drawn in with black eyeliner pencils.

Make sure they’re not too small because they would just look weird on your face! When you’re done painting your mask, let it dry overnight before wearing it or using it to decorate your home for Halloween night.

Make Popsicle Stick Black Cat

Make your own popsicle stick black cat on an orange background.

Paint your background orange using a thick layer of paint. You can use the same color for both the background and cat or you can choose to make them different colors.

Using black paint, paint all of your cat’s features on top of your orange background: face, eyes, nose, mouth, and whiskers (make sure that these are all straight lines). For an extra detailed touch – add some dots for pupils in each eye!

Halloween Tree

Create a Halloween tree with popsicle sticks spooky houses, ghosts, bats, and more!

Cut out a tree shape from the cardboard and cut out one leaf per child.

Use the larger popsicle sticks (about 6-7 inches) to make houses, trees, ghosts, and bats by gluing them together with craft glue onto a piece of white paper in different arrangements to make your Halloween scene. Make sure that all pieces are firmly attached to each other so they won’t fall off when you hang them up at home or elsewhere!

Once everything is dry you can use markers or paint pens to add details such as faces and hair on the people or animals in your scene! Add as much detail as you want—you don’t have to leave anything plain if there’s something else available like glitter glue )

Use Craft Sticks For Holiday Fun

Craft sticks are a great alternative to cookies for Halloween treats. Here are some craft stick crafts that you can make with your kids.

  • Decorations. Make these spooky ghosts using black paint and white pom poms.
  • Dress up like a mummy. Here’s an easy DIY tutorial from the blog, Modern Mommy Madness!
  • Make masks! These paper plate-frame masks are super simple to make and they’re sure to be a hit at any party!
  • You can also use craft sticks to make frames for displaying photos of your kids’ activities throughout the year. This is also a great way of documenting memories so that when they grow older, they’ll be able to look back at their childhoods through photographs instead of just memories alone!
