15 Birds Crafts Ideas

Birds have fascinated us for generations, from cave paintings to contemporary art, and from ancient myths to modern-day memes.

There are plenty of reasons birds have such a special place in human culture: they’re beautiful, graceful, fierce, and clever. They can fly!

And their voices ring out with such joy and verve that it’s hard not to smile when you hear them chirp! Speaking of voices: kids love birds as much as adults do. They’re a great way to teach children about conservation and the natural world. So let’s get crafting!

Paper Plate Birds

Paper plate birds are a great way to learn about birds, and are easy to make.

They can be made from recycled paper, and decorated with markers, paints, and other craft materials.

They can also be hung from the ceiling or on a wall as an eye-catching feature.

Toilet Roll Bird Craft

This is a simple and easy bird craft that your kids will love.

You just need to cut out a toilet roll, glue on some feathers, and paint it if you want to. This craft can be made in different colors and is also very cheap!

If you have time then try this craft with your kids or friends and let me know how it goes in the comments below!

Bird Nest

A bird nest is a common birdhouse.

A bird nest is made of twigs and moss, and it is used by birds to lay eggs and raise their young. A bird nest is a good source of food for birds.

DIY Bird House

The most popular ways to make a bird house are from a recycled container, with a hole cut in the side, and from a recycled container with a hole cut in the bottom.

However, you can also make it from a recycled container with a hole cut in the top.

The following steps will help you build your birdhouse using these techniques

Collect an empty soda bottle or another plastic bottle. If you want to use an old soda bottle, rinse it out thoroughly so there’s no residue left behind that could harm birds! To make sure that your soda bottles are completely clean

(and not just mostly clean), fill them with water and shake them up until they’re nice and clean inside. You’ll need three large ones for this project: two tall ones (for building your walls) and one shorter one (for building your roof).

Cut holes into all three bottles using scissors or another sharp knife. It’s best if each hole is big enough for birds’ heads but small enough so they won’t get stuck trying to get through it—about halfway up should work fine! The bigger this space is, though, the better chance we have at attracting more birds who like living near human houses.”

DIY Bird House With Seed Cakes

Materials needed

  • 1 large seed cake
  • 1 small seed cake
  • thread, needle, and scissors (optional)

Steps to make a birdhouse

Cut the top of the small seed cake with a knife or scissors. This will be used as an entrance for birds to enter your house. You can also use a hole puncher to make this hole if you don’t want to cut it manually.

Glue the top of your small seed cake on top of the large one using any kind of glue that’s safe for birds (super glue is not recommended!). The first layer should be dry before adding another layer on top of it so that they stick together well and hold their shape when placed outside in nature where there are no walls surrounding them like they would be indoors with us humans living in houses made out of bricks or concrete blocks.”

Easy Feather Birds

  • what you will need
  • craft feathers (you can buy them online or at any craft store)
  • scissors
  • how to make
  • Cut off the top part of the feather using your scissors, leaving about a centimeter of stem attached to it. Make sure that when you cut, you save all the pieces of a feather that fall off; these are perfect for making your crafts!

Cut a few more down to use as decorations on other projects later! You can also use them as feathers on other bird crafts or put them in jars with water and make some unique centerpieces. When picking out your feathers,

think about how they’re going to look hanging up in your room–they could end up being too bulky so choose wisely! And don’t forget–you don’t have to limit yourself just because you’re using fake ones!

They’ll still look great next time someone comes over because they’ll be able to touch them too (think about trying using different colored paper clips). This way everyone’s happy~ If anyone has any questions about making this project feel free to email me at [email protected] 🙂

Popsicle Stick Bird House

Popsicle sticks are an easy and fun material to use for a birdhouse. They can be painted in any color, glued together with hot glue, and decorated with feathers or other materials.

To make one you will need

Popsicle sticks (the kind that comes in ice pops)

  • Paint of your choice (optional)
  • Glue gun (optional)
  • Paint the popsicle sticks if desired.
  • Glue together the bottom of your bird house on a flat surface so that it is sturdy enough to stand upright.
  • Use a nail or similar tool to make holes at the top corners of your bird house so that birds can enter and exit easily!

Cork Bird Feeder

You can make a cork bird feeder and houses for your birds.

Cork is harvested from trees every nine years or so, allowing the tree to renew itself. It’s also renewable, recyclable, and biodegradable. This makes it a great material for making bird crafts!

DIY Love Birds Ornaments

To make these love birds, you’ll need

  • 1 piece of felt cut into the shape of a bird (or draw it yourself)
  • A needle and thread to sew the pieces together

To decorate your birds, you can use markers or paint. You could also glue on fabric scraps or ribbons to give them more color and texture! Once they’re decorated, hang them up somewhere in your home for decoration!

Simple Birds On A Wire Painting For Kids

You will need a canvas, paint and a brush. You can use any type of paint you like and any color you want.

If your child is younger than 5 years old, using tempera paints might be better because it is less messy than regular acrylic or watercolor paints.

Paint the background in large flat strokes with a broad brush for each stroke to cover more area as fast as possible. Let dry for about 30 minutes then repeat this step two more times until you have used most of your paint on the canvas (unless you want to mix colors). When finished painting let it dry overnight before hanging it up!

Fingerprint Pigeon Art Project For Kids

To make this art project, you will need the following items. Cardboard cut into a square shape. You can use an old box or simply draw one yourself on some cardboard.

The size of your square depends on how big you want your pigeon to be in the end and also how long you want to spend making it!

If you have lots of time, then make it much larger than necessary so that when it dries out, later on, it will be easier for little ones to paint over again without messing up the previous work too much.

Fingerprint paints – There are various brands available but I recommend those with glitter because they look best when they dry off leaving behind some sparkle. You can also use fingerpaints which come with no additional ingredients besides water but these tend not to be as bright as other kinds such as powdered paint from craft shops (which often contains glitter).

Brushes – As there is no need for special brushes here just any old paintbrush will do fine!

How To Make A Pine Cone Bird Feeder

Pine cone bird feeders are a great way to help birds and add some fun decor to your yard. They’re fairly easy to make, but first, you need to collect some pine cones, peanut butter, and bird seed (you can use any type of bird seed).

Gather up all your supplies: pine cones, peanut butter, birdseed, craft sticks, and string or yarn. If you have kids or grandkids who want to get involved in making this fun craft project with you then invite them along! The more people involved the more fun it will be for everyone!

The next step is applying glue on both sides of each pinecone. Don’t worry about getting too much glue because it doesn’t matter if there’s extra as long as there’s enough for both sides. Let dry completely before proceeding with the next step which is filling up each side with about half full of peanut butter & adding some seeds on top so they don’t fall out through small gaps between pieces when finished dry out completely overnight

There Are A Lot Of Other Bird Crafts Available For You To Try At Home

You don’t have to make a bird craft every time you have plans to go out and enjoy nature.

However, if you’re looking for an enjoyable way to get your kids involved in arts and crafts, or if you just want some fun activities for the whole family, then bird crafts are a good option. They can also be educational and help teach children about different kinds of birds.
