11 Fire Craft For Kids

11 Fire Craft For Kids

Fire safety is an important topic to teach kids, and it’s also one of the most fun.

These fire craft activities are perfect for both parents and kids to do together. They will help kids understand what happens when a fire starts, and they’ll have fun doing it!

Paper Plate Fire Trucks

Use a marker to draw the hose on your fire truck, and make sure there are four or five blocks of color—one for each color of foam used in this craft activity!

You may use more than one color of ink if you want, but it’s not necessary unless you have multiple hoses going up and down your paper plate fire truck.

  • Use a marker to draw the wheels on your fire truck.
  • Use a marker to draw red lights on your fire truck.
  • Use a marker to draw the ladder on your fire truck.

For the firefighter in front of the vehicle, draw him or her using an oval shape as their head and another large oval shape for their body (with vertical lines separating them). Then add legs with vertical lines that connect to each other at their base point so that they look like pants!

Fire Safety Chain

This is an awesome project for kids to learn about fire safety, and they can make it with a few simple supplies.

This craft project teaches children that if there’s a fire, they should leave the building immediately and not go back inside until the firefighters have arrived.

The first step in making this craft is to draw out your chain onto your paper. You can do this by measuring with a ruler or using another method of measurement if you prefer—just make sure that each link is the same size!

Use bright colors like red, yellow, and blue to make it fun for little ones to look at. Once you’ve drawn out all eight links on one piece of paper (you’ll need two pieces), cut them out carefully so that every link has its own shape when you’re finished cutting them into separate parts.

Now grab some glue! You’re going to use it next so start getting ready before doing anything else just because it might get messy otherwise!”

Fire Truck with Fire-Themed Art Mobile

This is a great craft for kids who are fans of fire trucks.

The fire truck with the fire-themed art mobile is a large cardboard cutout of a firefighter’s car with a ladder on top. The model vehicle comes in several colors and can be decorated using markers, crayons, and stickers.

Your child will have fun decorating their new toy with the included items and putting it together!

Cardboard Tube Firefighter Craft

Materials

  • cardboard tube (preferably from a paper towel or toilet paper roll)
  • red, yellow, and blue construction paper
  • crayons or markers

Instructions.

Cut the square ends off of your cardboard tube and flatten it out on your work surface. If you’re using a toilet paper roll, you can use scissors to get rid of the perforated end gently.

Draw two large flames onto two pieces of red construction paper, then cut them out with scissors once they’re drawn on both sides so they are symmetrical.

Next, draw smaller flames onto two pieces of yellow construction paper and cut them out as well (these will be used for smaller details in the fire).

Finally, draw some small gray dots onto two pieces of blue construction paper (these will be used as smoke coming from inside the larger flames), then cut these out too!

Firefighters Paper Doll Printables

These firefighter paper dolls are a great activity for kids, and we’ve included several different options to choose from.

There are firefighters with their fire trucks, firefighters in action, and more! You can print out as many as you need and enjoy!

Fire Fighter Drawing Prompt for Kids

Let your child draw a firefighter. Tell them to draw the proper clothing, helmet, and boots. Next, they should draw their truck.

Then they can draw their hose that goes into the fire truck and out of it to put out the fires.

Next, they should draw a fire hydrant, and some firefighters put out the fire by spraying water from their hoses onto it with big streams of water coming out of them like in real life!

Then have your child draw where they would go if there was an alarm going off or if you needed help in any way at home such as getting up high enough above ground level so you don’t get hurt when escaping from a house that’s on fire!

Fire Truck Pinata (I NEED THIS!)

The fire truck piñata is the perfect craft for anyone with a little one that loves trucks, or even just firefighters in general.

You can make this piñata from scratch or purchase it from any party store (which is what I will do because I’m lazy).

What you need.

  • A cardboard box big enough to hold your supplies
  • Paper mache paste (can be found at any craft store)
  • Paint and brushes to decorate your fire truck (I recommend using fluorescent paint!)
  • String/yarn/rope to hang your fire truck

DIY Fortified Fireside Matchbox with Matches

What you need.

  • A sturdy matchbox (the kind with a hinged top)
  • Tin snips or heavy-duty scissors; a knife or box cutter will also work in a pinch
  • A piece of scrap cardboard or chipboard, cut to the size of your matchbox and 2/3 as thick (so it doesn’t bend when you set it on its side)

Popsicle Stick Candle Holder Craft by Learn Create Love

This craft is so easy to create, and the end result is adorable! All you need are popsicle sticks, glue, scissors, and a candle.

Start by lining up your popsicle sticks in a row. Use the glue to attach them together at one end so that they form a circle or square shape. You can also choose to use different colored popsicle sticks for an extra pop of color!

Next, you will cut out a small piece in the exact center of each side so that when you flip it over there’s a hole for your candle. Remove any excess pieces from around this hole so that only about 1/4” remains surrounding it on all sides (this will allow room for decorations).

Then add some cute ribbon or string along each side using a hot glue gun.* This should be enough room now for most candles; however if yours still isn’t fitting perfectly just trim down more until everything fits nicely.

Now take some time to get creative with decorating this adorable creation! Try adding paint splotches here and there or even some glittering sparkle if desired (either way, though make sure before doing anything else firstly that whatever decoration method chosen won’t leave behind any residue).

Finally once ready place your newly decorated Popsicle Stick Candle Holder into place; then light up those stylish flames…or try anyway since technically speaking they don’t actually burn )

Log House by Kiddy Chick

Kids can use popsicle sticks to make a log cabin. The best part is that the kids can color their popsicle sticks, so they can paint them any color they like!

If you want to make it look even more realistic, you can cut some of the sticks in half lengthwise and use those as logs on either side of the house.

If your child wants something fancier than a plain old log cabin, cut out window shapes from paper and glue them onto the front of two popsicle sticks. You’ll need two pieces for each window: one with an opening at its center and one without an opening—you’ll place these together back-to-back for stability. Then glue these onto either side of your log cabin (see photo).

To add more detail to your house, cut out doors from heavy cardboard or construction paper and glue them onto either side of the door opening in your house (see photo).

Using tongue depressors or wooden dowels will provide much better stability than using regular craft sticks when making a chimney; therefore I recommend using these materials instead if possible.

Catch Fireflies in a Jar by A Thrifty Mom

Let’s talk about catching fireflies! This is a great activity for your kids to do with you. There are several things you need to make this craft.

A jar that has its lid available. You can find one at the dollar store or check out your recycling bin (many people will recycle jars). It can be any size, as long as it has a lid that fits tightly on top of it.

Something thick enough to make a net with, such as an old shirt or towel. The larger the better, since you’ll be using it to catch fireflies by hand at night time! If necessary, cut off extra material from around the edges so your child can easily hold onto their newly made “net”.

Some sort of handle they can attach easily once they’ve finished making their own little catcher device (see below). For example. some shoelaces would work well here because they’re strong enough yet won’t interfere too much with how well these contraptions perform during use later on down below in this list where we’ll explain what happens when catching fireflies goes wrong…

Kids Can Have Fun Learning About Fire Safety With These Activities.

Fire safety is important for kids and adults alike. It’s important to families, communities, and neighbors—in fact, it’s important to everyone!

Whether you’re a parent or an educator, you can teach children valuable lessons about fire safety with these kid-friendly activities.

Have your child make a bucket brigade line out of empty plastic bottles. Fill each bottle with water then line them up in order from shortest to tallest so they’re ready when needed (hint: this activity will work best outdoors).

Set up an obstacle course around the house that includes all sorts of household items, then have your child navigate through it while wearing a heavy coat, gloves, and boots on their hands and feet so they can feel what it would be like if they were trying to escape the firey scene! You could also use this opportunity for teaching about personal protective equipment (PPE) such as face shields or respirators because these items should be used whenever entering dangerous environments like flames or smoke clouds.

Conclusion

We hope you and your family enjoy these fire craft ideas. Fire safety is an important issue, and it’s vital that children learn about how to prevent fires from starting. The best way for kids to learn about fire safety is by practicing it in fun ways at home. If you have any other ideas for fire crafts that we didn’t mention here, let us know!
